Part of Whiba’s strength as a holding company is the large number of farms it owns and in which it invests in addition to the livestock it cultivates to contribute to food security in Libya. The group uses modern agricultural technologies and machines in addition to advanced farming practices of irrigation, sowing, fertilizer application, and harvesting of a wide range of crops. Besides hundreds of olive, citrus, and palm trees, wheat of top quality is planted on Whiba farms which cover an area that exceeds 2500 hectares. These crops are meant to be used as raw materials for Whiba’s original and in-house food products.
