Whiba Holding has officially inaugurated the largest factory for pasta, couscous, and semolina in North Africa at Dafniya Complex for Food Industries. This event took place in the presence of the Head of the Government of National Unity, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Minister of Economy and Trade, Minister of Industry, Minister of Transportation, and the Undersecretaries of Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Industry, as well as President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and President of the Economic Development Council. Other officials who participated in the opening were Mayor of Zliten Municipality, President of Zliten Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President of Misurata Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Director General of the Investment Promotion and Privatization Authority, President of the Municipal Guard, and President of Libyan-Tunisian Chamber, and a group of businessmen interested in the field.
During the inauguration, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and his accompanying delegation described Dafniya Complex as the industrial castle of Libya and appreciated its adherence to local and international standards. The officials stressed the need to support the private sector in Libya for its role in raising the national economy and industry, emphasizing its contribution to ensuring the sustainable social development, and training, support, and advancement of the youth.
